Plot synopsis

They discover that his father is Meer Shaukat Ali (Naseeruddin Shah), a devout Muslim who is in a critical condition due to old age. The imam taking care of Meer tells Dharampal that if Meer saw that his only son has been brought up as a non-Muslim, it could cause severe damage to his health. With the help of Nawab, Dharampal begins to learn the ways of Muslim people.
